The City of Kemmerer possesses an exceptionally strong sense of community and connection among its residents, many of whom are related, or whose families’ friendships have spanned generations.

We celebrate together, mourn together, work together, play together, learn and experience life together. The South Lincoln Training and Event Center enhances and supports every aspect of our lives, and is already having a positive and profound effect on the quality of life in southwestern Wyoming.

Recently we facilitated the 80th birthday party for a life-long member of the community. As she looked around at the faces of friends and family who were there to celebrate her contributions and accomplishments, she noted:

“This would not have been possible without the Event Center. It has been one of the most wonderful days of my life.”

One of our first concerts in the event center was performed by a world-renowned clarinetist and pianist duo. As the attendees filed out of the auditorium in awe, one asked in amazement:

“Are we still in Kemmerer? Did this really happen here, for us, in Kemmerer?”

In May of 2009 the city hosted a two-day workshop on communication strategies for business, nonprofit and government leaders. A survey taken to evaluate the workshop afterwards yielded comments such as these:

“This was my first time to see the facility and I was very impressed. It will be a great location for similar meetings and is a great asset to Kemmerer and all of SW Wyoming.”

“Wonderful events center. Kemmerer/Diamondville and Frontier have constructed a superb facility.”

“This workshop was wonderful. There are so many useful things that I learned and can apply to my job. All of the speakers were incredible and did an outstanding job. Very well done. Probably one of the best 2 day workshops I've been to.”
